About Low Carb Scripts

Low Carb Scripts offers practical courses which help doctors and other health professionals work more effectively and time efficiently.

Using a concise, curated, evidence based curriculum combined with insider knowledge from experienced medical educators, it helps doctors restore their life balance, improve their patients' health and bring back the joy to medical practice!

In addition to time management and stress reduction programs, it aims to teach doctors and other health professionals how to prescribe low carbohydrate diets easily and effectively, by providing the tools and know how which work within the time constraints of a primary care setting.

Dr Louise Phillips

MBBS (hons 1) FRACGP

Dr Louise Phillips, our lead educator and content director, is an Australian GP with a passion for medical education, doctors’ wellbeing and metabolic health. She supervises GP registrars, teaches medical students as a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland and works as an External Clinical Teacher for the RACGP (coaching registrars in consultation skills). She is a lecturer with the Nutrition Network. Selected onto the Scientific Committee for the Australasian Metabolic Health Society, she is helping to create the Australasian Metabolic Guidelines for health practitioners.

Having worked as a GP for 20 years, she understands the challenging environment of primary care, with its vast curriculum, time constraints and burden of chronic disease. She aims to help her colleagues improve their life balance, by fine-tuning their time management, providing implementable stress reduction strategies, and teaching them about using low carbohydrate nutrition to improve the health of their patients, and optimise their own well-being. Whilst she loves to restore the health of patients, she is equally passionate about helping colleagues thrive within flawed health systems.

Having spent thousands of hours studying nutrition and metabolic disease, including a rigorous certification pathway with the Nutrition Network, she is hoping to bring you the short cut to practical knowledge for effective patient management.
